Gwahoddwyd un o ffigurau blaenllaw addysg yng Nghymru i Brifysgol Cymru Y Drindod Dewi Sant i ysbrydoli’r genhedlaeth nesaf o athrawon.
Yr Athro Graham Donaldson, arbenigwr addysg ac awdur adroddiad Llywodraeth Cymru ‘Dyfodol Llwyddiannus’ a draddododd y prif anerchiad yng nghynhadledd flynyddol ‘Anelu at Ragoriaeth’ y Drindod Dewi Sant ynghylch ei gynigion ar gyfer cwricwlwm cenedlaethol newydd.
Ym mis Mawrth 2014 comisiynwyd yr Athro Donaldson gan Lywodraeth Cymru i ystyried ac adolygu’r Cwricwlwm a’r Trefniadau Asesu yng Nghymru.
Mae’i adroddiad dilynol ‘Dyfodol Llwyddiannus’ yn edrych ar y cwricwlwm cyfredol yng Nghymru ac yn gosod allan nifer o gynigion radical ar gyfer newid.
Rhoddwyd gofal am y dasg o lunio manylion cynigion yr Athro Donaldson i ugeiniau o ‘Ysgolion Arloesi’ ac mae’r gwaith hwnnw’n mynd rhagddo.
Mae Athrofa Addysg Y Drindod Dewi Sant yn manteisio’n helaeth ar waith yr Athro Donaldson i gefnogi datblygiad ei rhaglenni addysg athrawon newydd.
Yn ystod ei anerchiad, esboniodd yr Athro Donaldson yn fanwl sut byddai’r cwricwlwm yn cael ei weithredu a beth oedd y goblygiadau i athrawon cyfredol ac yn y dyfodol.
Ymunodd myfyrwyr cyfredol a chyn-fyfyrwyr ag ef ar y llwyfan, gan roi cyflwyniadau ar eu cyfnod cynnar yn yr ysgol a’u taith drwy addysg uwch, a disgyblion o Ysgol Gynradd Ynystawe, Abertawe.
Gwahoddwyd ysgolion partner, arbenigwyr addysg a staff yr Athrofa Addysg hefyd.
Ar ôl y gynhadledd, meddai’r Athro Donaldson: “Cynadleddau o’r math yma yw hanfod holl ddatblygiad Dyfodol Llwyddiannus yng Nghymru. Mae’n rhoi cyfle i’r rheini a fydd wrth wraidd gwneud iddo ddigwydd, ddod at ei gilydd i fod yn rhan o’r hyn rydym ni’n ceisio ei wneud ac i atgyfnerthu’i gilydd.
“Yr hyn a ddaeth drosodd i mi heddiw oedd ar un lefel brwdfrydedd a phenderfyniad aruthrol, parhaus i fynd â hwn yn ei flaen a gwneud iddo weithio i bobl ifanc Cymru, ond hefyd ymddengys i mi fod dod â’r bobl ifanc o’r ysgol at ei gilydd ar ddechrau’r diwrnod yn hollbwysig mewn digwyddiadau o’r fath, oherwydd er mwyn y plant y mae’r cyfan.”
Trefnir cynhadledd ‘Anelu at Ragoriaeth’ bob blwyddyn gyda’r nod o ddod â’r holl athrawon dan hyfforddiant ar y rhaglenni BA Addysg Gynradd, TAR Cynradd a TAR Uwchradd at ei gilydd er mwyn rhannu arfer da wrth iddynt baratoi am yrfa yn addysgu.
Meddai trefnydd y digwyddiad Mathew Jones o’r Athrofa Addysg: “Hoffwn i achub ar y cyfle hwn i ddiolch i’r Athro Donaldson am ei gyfraniad i’r gynhadledd addysg eleni.
“Roedd y gynhadledd hon yn gyfle delfrydol i’n myfyrwyr rannu’r llwyfan â rhywun tebyg i’r Athro Donaldson ond hefyd i arddangos eu cyraeddiadau a rhannu arfer da.
“Roedd gwrando ar yr Athro Donaldson yn siarad am yr adroddiad Dyfodol Llwyddiannus yn gyffrous iawn i’n myfyrwyr a gwn y bydd y profiad hwn yn fuddiol dros ben iddyn nhw wrth edrych ymlaen a chychwyn ar yrfa fel athrawon proffesiynol.
“Unwaith eto roedd yn gynhadledd lwyddiannus dros ben gyda mwy na 450 o fyfyrwyr yn bresennol yn y digwyddiad a 300 pellach yn gwylio ar-lein. Mae’r gynhadledd bellach ar ei phumed flwyddyn ac yn mynd o nerth i nerth.
“Rwy’n edrych ymlaen yn fawr iawn at ddigwyddiad y flwyddyn nesaf gan ein bod ni’n gobeithio adeiladu ar lwyddiant eleni.”
