Llanllwni primary school is a voluntary controlled school within the Education Department of Carmarthenshire County Council. The school is situated in the middle of the village and is central to many local community activities. The name Llanllwni Church Community School is displayed at the entrance to the School and the majority of the children come from local families.
There are three classes, three teachers and a classroom assistant in the school The aim and mission of the school is to offer education of the highest standard, giving each pupil the individual attention required. The standard of work achieved by the school is applauded by the inspectorate, naturally, and every opportunity is taken to introduce the children to a variety of interesting experiences relevant to the National Curriculum. These experiences ensure that the pupils develop an enthusiasm for learning and ensures that they get involved in community activities. Receipt of the Schools Heritage Award was national recognition for this area of the school’s activity.
